In the upcoming episode of the popular TV One series "Uncensored," Marques Houston will discuss his contentious union with Miya Dickey. After the public learned that the actor and former Immature/IMx vocalist is 20 years older than his wife, he faced harsh criticism and a general side-eye. Marques claims that when he first met his 17-year-old future wife, he was 37 years old.

In a recent interview, he revealed why he prefers to avoid dating women his own age and why he considers single mothers a "red flag." “A red flag to me [was] always with a woman that had a kid,” he said in an interview with Page Six. “Nothing against single women, but single mothers with children are a red flag for me.”“I’m 41, she is 22.

Marques Houston really groomed his wife when she was a minor & waited until she was 18 to make their relationship. Some of us remember seeing him under her comments when she was 17. & Then when she turned 18 their relationship became “official”. He’s a nasty weirdo!

I could’ve married a 44-year-old woman, and it could’ve been disastrous,” the singer said. “Women that are my age… they kind of have a different outlook on life. Like a lot of women my age are very independent. They are very like, ‘I don’t need a man to do this for me ’cause I can do it for myself.’ I come from a generation that I love to provide for my wife.”
