Veekee James is not done shutting down the internet as she has raised the bar with her wedding gift to her husband Femi Atere.

James once again found herself at the centre of social media conversations after surprising her husband, Femi Atere, with a series of luxury gifts on their wedding night, including a PlayStation 5 (PS5).

Videos from the celebration captured Femi's excitement as he unboxed the gaming console and other thoughtful presents, while guests cheered the newlyweds. The romantic gesture quickly made the rounds on Instagram, TikTok and X, where it generated both admiration and debate.

Many social media users applauded Veekee for being intentional and generous, describing the gifts as a reflection of the love and friendship the couple often display publicly.

Others, however, questioned the dynamic in a light-hearted way.

The celebrity designer is no doubt a wife material as she pampered her husband with gifts following their grand wedding. In a video making rounds online, one of Veekee James’ brides could be seen surprising her husband, who was dressed in his white suit with boxes of gifts.

Femi, who was taken aback by his wife’s surprise couldn’t help but smile as he tried guessing what she had gotten him. Femi unboxed the three gifts which contained a PS5, a game controller, and an Apple Wrist award.

The gesture has left many social media users talking as they questioned if she was the one who married him.

Veekee James has been in the news ever since her engagement to Femi Atere. The couple exchanged vows at their white wedding on Saturday, February 10, 2024, which was presided over by the pastor of the Harvesters International Christian Centre, Bolaji Idowu.

As expected the wedding attracted a host of celebrities like Mya De Jesus Diiadem  Berbiedoll Juliana Olayode, Eniola Ajao, Osas Ighodaro, Toke Makinwa, Priscilla Ojo, Pretty Mike, and many more.

The Final leg of the wedding was the icing on the cake, as the fashion designer broke the internet after using a team of 200 choir members.

Unfortunately, her wedding was heavily criticized by many, who believed the celebrity designer was doing too much.

Addressing the criticisms after the Super Eagles loss at AFCON, she expressed excitement at being able to finally free from trolling, as she noted how Nigerians would face the Super Eagles.

Defending her, Daddy Freeze told Nigerians to allow the newly married rest. Gushing over the couple, he told them to enjoy their marriage.

Unlike Daddy Freeze who defended the couple, Singer, Chike told her to REST who was tired of the over-the-top display and most importantly the worship session took to a blog’s comment to leave an insensitive comment.

Comedian Deeone took a dig at her, disclosing that Veekee was making her husband uncomfortable with all the extravagant stuff that she was doing for her wedding. He further stated that after doing thorough research on her husband, he has discovered that the husband is a very low-key and reserved person.

He revealed that she was doing too much while he also disclosed that it was possible that the husband was richer than her but did not want to make it so known.

Skitmaker, Deacon Famous revealed that Veekee James was doing everything possible to make sure that her wedding was trending.

He compared her to gospel artists Mercy Chinwo and Moses Bliss as he revealed that the two celebrities did not have to do much for their weddings to trend by force.

 Skales jumped on to react by commenting with “omo”, probably alluding to the fact that it was too dramatic.
