Author and minister Laurie Idahosa has some wise words for single women looking for Mr. Right.

They were encouraged to resist making hasty commitments to males and to instead wait for him to make his intentions plain by Pastor Laurie, who serves as the pastor of My Church Unusual, in a post that was shared on her social media page.

Until a guy expresses his desire to be devoted to them in concrete words, Laurie, who is married to Bishop F.E. Benson Idahosa, the late Archbishop Idahosa's first son, advises women to leave their options open.

The three-time mother and motivational speaker wrote:

“Ladies, don’t commit to a man prematurely. If he isn’t telling you that he wants to be committed to you and only you and if he isn’t asking you for exclusivity, keep your options open. He isn’t yours till he makes it clear that he’s yours. Save the unnecessary heartbreak.”

She continues:

“Warning Strong Advice

When a man wants to be with you in a committed relationship, he will make himself clear. If he doesn’t, you will keep seeking for clarity when it is staring you in the face.

If he isn’t ready, the whole thing will look and feel confusing. You’ll be hot one day and cold the next. No consistency.

Once his mind is made up, he knows how to get his point across.

Why should ladies be any different? We don’t need to sit around like beggars for commitment.

Know what you are looking for and don’t settle for less than what brings you peace and what fulfills God’s purpose. Stop trying to make every square peg fit into a round hole, justifying nonsense.

Guard your heart and keep your options open.

Oh, and if he ever blocks you, e get why.”
