Apostle Emmanuel Okose, a former musician turned pastor, has chastised married or committed couples who yet maintain close friendships with people of the other sex.

Okose, formerly known as Soul E, claimed in a video posted to social media that a man or woman in a committed relationship or marriage cannot have a person of the other sex as their best friend.

He believed that your best buddy should be your partner and no one else.

In his words:

“You can’t have a best friend of the opposite sex and you are in a serious relationship or you are in a marriage.
