Paul Nwokocha On Why He Decided To Marry New Wife, One Month After Ex-wife Packed Out Of Their Home

One month after his first wife, Alice, left their marital home, Nigerian gospel singer Paul Nwokocha explained why he chose to wed Goodness from Nkpa in Bende Local Government Area.

The Port Harcourt-based gospel musician from Abia wedded Goodness on Saturday after his 20-year marriage to Alice ended in divorce.

When asked why he married his second spouse so soon after his first marriage failed, Nwokocha said that the bible had instructed him not to remain alone.

He continued by outlining his experiences throughout his marriage to Alice. He claims that despite the fact that he was providing for his family, Alice ceased preparing meals for him.

In his words;

“I decided to marry my new wife, Goodness, one month after my ex wife packed out of our matrimonial home because the Holy Bible said “Paul Nwokocha” should not be alone.

I am still performing my duties to my children as their father, I didn’t discard them, I cloth them, pay their school fees and feed them, I also pay the rent of the house they live.

The only thing is that I decided to be alive to preach the gospel. To me, marriage is not for better for worse rather for better to the best, I didn’t marry to endure but to enjoy.

My ex wife, Alice stopped giving me food not minding that I give her money for the running of the house every month, I was living as an outcast in my home.”
