Kemi Adetiba thanked her husband for his love, patience, and consistency in her caption. He was also acknowledged by the "King of Boys" producer for showing her affection ever since their wedding.

On April 24, Nigerian gospel musician Tim Godfrey and his wife Erica are commemorating their first wedding anniversary.

The pair wrote a touching greeting to one other on their individual Instagram pages to mark their big day.



Erica expressed her enduring love for her partner by posting pictures of them together. She expressed her real excitement for many more years and memories with him as a proud wife and mother.

Pastor Julie, a clergywoman from Nigeria, claims that the reason her nearly 40 years of marriage have been successful is because she chose to act foolish.

In a popular video, Pastor Julie gave counsel to married couples based on her own experience of being married for 39 years. She claimed that in order for her marriage to succeed, she had to play the fool.

She added that in order to focus on developing a solid and healthy relationship with her husband, she had to learn to let go of her pride and ego.

She counseled playing the fool even when you know you are right in order to maintain a marriage.

In her words:

“I have come to realize in these 39 years of being with my husband…I realized I had to play the fool for my marriage to work, playing the fool even when I know I am right.

“Foolishness in a relationship. For you to sustain your marriage, you have to play the fool. Playing the fool when even you know your right from your left. The man is claiming right, you are claiming right, it will not work.”

However, Betty Irabor, a well-known Nigerian author and publisher who has been married for almost 40 years, responded to Pastor Julie's revelation.

The founder of Genevieve Magazine, who didn't seem to agree with her revelation and advise to other married couples, claimed that although she had been married for 39 years as well, she had learned that playing the fool for that long to keep the peace was bad for her mental, emotional, and physical health.

She penned;

She counseled playing the fool even when you know you are right in order to maintain a marriage.

“Eeeya. I have been married 39 years too… Playing a fool for that long to maintain peace in the name of submissiveness or respect for your spouse is unhealthy; mentally, emotionally and physically. Gosh! But if the formula is working for her marriage I salute her.”

Online debate has been sparked by a guy who claims that in the event of birth problems, he would chose his child over his wife.

The man who went by the handle @Chimaszn claimed that if his wife's life and the lives of his unborn child were both in danger during birthing, he would chose to save his own child.

This information was made public by @Chimaszn in response to a tweet from a female Twitter user who said that in the event of birth problems, she would tell the doctor to rescue her rather than the baby.

According to @Chimaszn, he would instruct the physician to preserve both his wife and child. If, however, such course of action is not possible, he would instruct the physician to save only his child because he cannot leave his child.

He wrote:

“I’d tell them to save both and if they can’t, then I have no choice than to go for the baby… can’t leave my blood to go that way.”
