Damilola Adegbite Says the Older Woman Once Overlooked Is Now “The Premium Package”

Actress Damilola Adegbite has spoken about the changing perception of older women in the dating world.

She said there was a time when women were made to feel that reaching a certain age meant quietly exiting the dating scene.

But, according to Damilola, that attitude is changing.

“There was a time when society made older women feel like once you've crossed a certain age, you should basically leave the dating market quietly, but now the tables are turning,” she said.»

Then came the line that caught our attention:

“The older woman who was once overlooked has become the premium package.”»

And honestly, there is something bigger happening here than dating.

For a long time, women were often taught that their romantic value had an expiry date.

Youth was treated as the asset.Marriage was treated as the destination.Once a woman crossed a certain age without being married, society could make her feel as though she had somehow missed her window.

The conversation is shifting.Experience, confidence, independence, emotional maturity and knowing exactly what you want can become attractive in ways that weren't always acknowledged.

The nuance part is that the woman herself may not have changed as much as the way people are learning to value her has changed.

Amazingly real power of the “premium package” isn't that older women suddenly became desirable.Maybe it's that women are becoming less willing to measure their worth by whether someone chose them early.

This likely changes the dating equation completely.

If a woman's value was never supposed to have an expiry date, why did society create one?

Is the older woman becoming more desirable — or are people finally learning to recognise qualities they previously overlooked?

What makes someone a “premium package” in the dating world: youth, beauty, experience, confidence, character — or something else?
