‘My Ex-wife Married Me For My Money’ – Julius Agwu Reveals As He Discusses His Marital Problems

The failure of his marriage to his ex-wife, Ibiere Maclayton, according to Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu, was due to his failure to seek God's direction.

The divorced father of two said this in an interview with The Punch while talking about his marital issues and his struggle with a brain tumor.

Julius claims that when they were married, his wife was attracted to him because of his income, and when he started to have health issues, she decided to leave.

He said;

“I believe that any marriage without God would not last. When I married my wife, I did not even consult God. Some of us got married when there was so much money, and at that time, practically every girl wanted to be with us.

But, after marriage, if anything happens to one, they would say, “I don’t want this man again”. I suggest that people should consult God first before getting married.”

The 50-year-old comic actor also discussed his recovery from his failed marriage and claimed that although it had taught him a valuable lesson, he might one day think about marrying again. Agwu said;

“Life is very good and enjoyable now. When that (separation) happened, I was fighting with a lot; thinking about my sickness and my family. I thank God, because I know everything happens for a reason. When there is life, there is hope. But, a time will come when I might reconsider marriage.”

Speaking on what he’s been doing recently, the actor said;

“The truth is that, one’s health comes first. I have been low-key, because I had a brain tumour surgery in 2015 in the United States of America. I thank God that I am alive.

Many people who had that type of surgery did not survive it. I believe God loves me because of my good heart towards everyone.”

It was alleged in March that Ibiere had moved on with another man despite the comedian’s ailing health.

This information was made public by Instagram blogger Gislovers, who said that Agwu's wife had said she was weary of caring for him and that his several side chicks should alternate caring for the comedian.

Additionally, according to Gistlovers, Julius enjoyed having a lot of side women while making waves in the entertainment business.

Therefore, he also hired side girls to look after him since they liked the comedian's money while he was financially stable.

Ibiere published a curious post about how expressing your feelings might reveal how foolish you are in what appears to be a response to the rumors.

Ibiere shared what looked like an advice about not voicing out every thought or opinion on certain matters.

According to her, voicing out your thoughts most times, confirms your level of stupidity to people. She wrote:
