Vanessa, the daughter of popular show promoter Paulo Okoye, recently opened up about her father’s reaction upon learning about her pregnancy during a Q&A session with her fans.
In her responses, Vanessa revealed that she shared the news with her father after arriving in London in February. She described his reaction as typical of an Igbo man—quiet and reserved, not displaying much outward emotion at first.
However, she emphasized that despite his initial silence, Paulo Okoye has been supportive throughout her entire journey into motherhood. Vanessa's insights reflect the blend of cultural expectations and familial support, showcasing the love and understanding within their family dynamic.
Vanessa also recounted the moment her father first saw her daughter, Zariah, saying there was clear joy in his heart, and he was “overexcited.”
She concluded her message with heartfelt gratitude, saying, “God bless my Daddy for real! Because he had my back thru it all!”
Another person also asked her how she felt after finding out that she was pregnant. She explained that she had mixed emotions.
She was happy, worried, scared, however, she decided to prepare herself for her baby’s arrival. The new mother said she read different books and made researches.
When her baby arrived, she had immense joy and a feeling she couldn’t explain. She wrote:
“When I got to London in February, I told him. He took it like every Igbo father would take it tbh. He was quiet and didn’t really express much but he was supportive from the beginning to the end. If you know my father, he doesn’t talk too much.
The day he sets his eyes on Zariah there was this joy in his heart… he was over excited lol. God bless my Daddy for real! Because he had my back thru it all!”
